In 1995, a bag of 200 seeds was discovered in the attic of a house that had been abandoned for several years in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, by a carpenter making repairs. Neighbors said there hadn't been a vegetable garden at this address for over 60 years. Mr. Gérard Parent, to whom they were given, tried to grow them, but only three germinated.
